Dr. Jeffrey Manning, DC
Clinic Director
As a child, I was diagnosed with a weak muscle in my left eye. Doctors scheduled me for surgery, saying there was little else they could do to help. At the time, my uncle was a student at New York Chiropractic College and believed that the cause of the weak muscle was actually poor nerve supply leading to it. Without proper nerve function in the area, my eye simply couldn’t function correctly. He disagreed that surgery was the only treatment and instead had one of his professors adjust me, and he personally worked with me to practice eye exercises he thought would strengthen the muscles. He explained that the adjustments were the most effective non-surgical way to restore nerve function to the area. It turned out his diagnosis and treatment plan were correct; his suggestions worked, and to this day my eyes are perfect. It was at that young age, and after having experienced the effects of Chiropractic firsthand, that I knew it was what I, too, would one day practice.
For more than 10 years, I have operated a Chiropractic practice in Uptown. In that time, I’ve come to know a lot about this area and the distinct needs of my patients. Most are hard-working, hard-playing, intelligent, discriminating customers; they want only the best and I work diligently (and successfully) to provide that. But although I’ve come to know much about the type of patient I’ll likely see, I’ll never assume that they’ll present with similar symptoms. Each patient is unique—much like a fingerprint—and a cookie-cutter approach to treatment isn’t something I find effective or fair for my patients.
I invest a lot of time in determining the best treatment plan for each and every patient, and it is that dedication and personalization that sets our clinic apart.
In 2007 we proudly expanded our clinic, and now in addition to Chiropractic, we also offer Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, and Life Coaching. Please come see us and let us help put you on a path to better health, less pain and total wellness.
